This magazine publication sources from the article entitled, "The Hidden Wisdom of the Clothesline," by Jeri Reilly. In the article, Reilly juxtaposes the convenience offered by modern technologies with their traditional, handcrafted counterparts. To Reilly, the act of hanging articles of clothing on a clothesline or sewing your own garments offer a meditational experience that modern technologies cannot offer. Similarly, Payton Gaskin and Taylor Cornelius developed this publication with the intention of simulating the conversation addressed by Reilly's observations.
